Chianti Conversations is an online magazine written, edited, and designed by Pacific University students and professors.
Professors and student writers learn from the local culture of Greve in Chianti by slowing down and listening to its artisans and caretakers.
These individuals, families, and friends share with us the ways in which they honor the land, art, architecture, and practices that have for generations sustained the remarkable people who call this place in Italy home.
Chianti is famous for its dark red wines, emerald green olive oil, and fine art--culinary, visual, and sculptural. Look closer, and you’ll see there is so much more to life here!
How do these community members stay true to their history and also innovate in a world undergoing a rapid rate of change? What can we learn from them?
